Air New Zealand Launches Smartest Travel Card Yet
It seems Air New Zealand have been working on a brilliant top-secret project for a little while. The new Air NZ OneSmart card integrates not only their Airpoints card and the ePass tag (which enables wireless check-in at their domestic kiosks), they’ve also bundled it with a smart debit card on the other side, with the ability to lock in up to four currencies at a time and fix the exchange rate until the money is spent..
This combination makes OneSmart the ultimate of travel cards and really does combine everything into one.
Air New Zealand Offers Free Koru Club Access to Foursquare Airport Mayors and Their Families
Good news for those of you who use Foursquare and also fly around the country a lot (like me).
While checking into the New Zealand airports on Foursquare that offer Koru Club access, you will now see a new special available that states that if you become the mayor of the airport you are checking into you immediately get free Koru Club entry for you and your family while your mayorship lasts. All you have to do is bring up the badge on your phone (Nokia has a brilliant new client on the Ovi Store allowing you to do just this and much more) and show them your boarding pass for a flight on that day and they’ll let you in.
This is a fantastic example of New Zealand companies really getting behind social networking as a new way of connecting with their customers, and a shining example of Air New Zealand forging the way as they have done so well already. Good on you, Air New Zealand!
